For Learners
The Walworth County Literacy Council helps adult learners by pairing them with volunteer tutors, to focus on areas such as Reading, Writing, GED Preparation, and English as a Second Language.
Tutors teach adult learners in one-on-one or small group classes. Classes are usually held at your local library, or other convenient public location.
Since 2003, our program has taught nearly 300 individuals!
Classes are free. The Literacy Council requests an initial, one-time $20 donation to help cover program costs and textbooks. Scholarships are available based upon financial need.
